European Taekwon-Do ITF Championships 2020 postponed!

European Taekwon-Do ITF Championships 2020 postponed!

On Thursday, 12 March 2020, the Czech Republic, like other European countries, declared the highest state of emergency in view of the current spreading of COVID-19 in Europe.

Besides other ramifications, any social events involving more than 30 people are prohibited for at least the next 30 days.

For this reason, the Czech Taekwon-Do ITF Federation, which has been duly authorized by the EITF Congress, can no longer properly organize the European Taekwon-ITF Championships that were to take place in the capital city of Prague from 19 to 26 April 2020.

We are currently working hard with all contractors to move the European Championships to the late summer holidays.

We believe that we will be able to announce a new date on which we can provide comparable services to you the next week.

Currently, more than 1,000 people from 33 European countries are registered for the European Taekwondo ITF Championships.

The Czech Taekwon-Do ITF Federation will make every effort to ensure that this year’s European Taekwon-Do ITF Championships are held properly.

We would like to thank all representatives of the European Taekwon-Do ITF federations, the EITF management, and the ITF for the support that is much needed at this moment.

Please follow as many of your national governments’ orders as possible to overcome today’s pan-European crisis as soon as possible and with the least losses.

We publish all information regarding the European Championships on the official website www.2020prague.eu and on social networks.

We think of you every day.

Prague, March 12, 2020

Mr. Marek Lazor
President, Czech Taekwon-Do ITF Federation
