Czech Open 2018 - A Class Tournament
On March 17-18, 2018, the Czech Open in the Czech Republic in Nymburk held the next Czech OPEN international competition in the Taekwon-Do.
A total of 467 competitors from 49 taekwondo schools and 15 European countries competed in 4 disciplines.
Most foreign competitors came from Estonia (42) and Slovenia (30), Romania (21), Poland (18), Greece (17), Slovakia (15), Moldova (10), Belarus (6) 6), Latvia (5), Austria (4), Spain (3), Wales (2) and Ukraine (1). 25 Czech schools with 287 competitors joined them.
7 presidents of national Taekwon-Do federations also took part in the tournaments.
Dean Vukancic from Slovenia (2 - 0 - 0) became the best senior male of the tournament, the best senior female became Tereza Štekerová from the Czech Republic (3-0-1).
The Cup for the best team won the Estonian team (12-6-15), Sonkal Prague from the Czech Republic (12-6-12) and the team of Slovenia (11-7-14).
This tournament started this year's series of new European EITF A-class tournaments, which were selected by the EITF. Another similar tournament will be in Italy (May), Romania (June), Slovenia (October), Bulgaria (November) and finally in Greece (December).
